Purpose: To engage the community in fun events that increase interest in STEM and FIRST

- Boys and Girls Clubs of St. Alban
- Science Day at Morgantown Children’s Museum
- WVU Diversity Week

- JASON Project/WV High Tech Consortium Foundation
- Easton Elementary Science Fair
- Our robot Mascot MARVIN:
- Appears in local parades
- Performed ribbon cutting for new WVU buildings
- Walked dogs for local humane society
- Developed story book and STEM coloring sheets for:
- Annual MARS open house
- Annual MARS FLL Scrimmage
- Read Aloud at Morgantown Public Library, WVU Children’s Hospital
- Multiple media appearances, including
- State public television documentary
- Profile in WVU documentary on outreach
FUN FACT: In the 2012-2013 season, MARS’ community activities have reached over 3,000 youth who have attended our workshops and public events
